Which MacTidy tool should I start with?

Start with Pulse for a general checkup. Use Purge to review junk files, Storage to understand disk usage, and Privacy & Security to review protection settings. Choose Data Recovery before cleanup if you need to recover a deleted file.

Are Private OS and iOS privacy settings separate apps?

No. These are educational guides. Private OS describes a more private macOS setup on this site, and the iOS guide explains privacy controls you change on your iPhone. MacTidy is a Mac app; it does not replace your operating system or remotely change iOS privacy settings.
